Immigration requirements from Germany

Proof of a yellow fever vaccination is obligatory to enter Ghana. In case you need an official invitation to get your Visa, we certainly will prepare one for you and send it per email, provided that you inform us about your exact travel dates beforehand.

As there is a considerable risk of getting Malaria in Ghana you have to decide individually if you would like to take prophylaxis medication. Malaria is definitely a serious issue and we recommand you to seek medical advice befor departure, just to be on the safe side. We are Europeans living in Ghana and we already had Malaria several times, so we know that medications for treatment are available in all well – equipped pharmacies. A blood test can also be done in a hospital in Takoradi. The medical care system in Ghana is good, however, not comparable with the European standard.

For divers: If you take any Malaria medication, diving is strictly prohibited.
